We all have encountered seemingly impossible situations! When we face those situations, the tendency is to think that they are too big for God because they appear insurmountable for us to overcome. Just because it is too big for us to handle in our own strength, does not mean it is too big for God. Additionally, because we cannot figure a way out of the situation in our own thinking, we often “feel” like God has no way to help us overcome the situation. We must remember that God had a solution for our dilemma long before we ever had the problem. The Bible gives various Scriptures that emphasize the omnipotence or unlimited power of God. Numbers 11:23 asks, “Is the LORD’S hand waxed short?” Luke 1:37 states, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Finally, Mark 11:22 admonishes us to “have faith in God.” Pastor Basil Tryon in Durban, South Africa once stated that “when you come to the end of your resources, you’re only at the beginning of God’s unlimited supply.” Remember to do as Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Trust in God’s ability and do not lean unto your limited understanding of the various ways in which you can be delivered from your challenging circumstances. Although your challenge may be too big for you and your limited understanding, it is not too big for God!
